About the Event

Welcome to the Dazzle Coding Competition, an inclusive event designed to challenge and celebrate the programming skills of students. Organized by the BTech student community, this competition offers a unique platform for undergraduate and graduate students to showcase their coding prowess in a supportive and accessible environment. Participants have the option to compete individually or in teams of up to three members, collaborating to solve a series of coding challenges. Computers equipped with screen reader software and braille displays are provided. Participants will tackle a variety of programming tasks designed to test their problem-solving abilities, typing skills, and algorithmic thinking. Throughout the competition, organizers will provide assistance and technical support to ensure that all participants can fully engage with the challenges. Scores will be awarded based on the correctness, efficiency, and clarity of the code, with bonus points for creativity and innovative solutions. At the end of the event, top-performing individuals and teams will be recognized with prizes, certificates of achievement, and possibly sponsored gifts. Participants are encouraged to conduct themselves with professionalism and integrity, embodying the spirit of fair play and inclusivity. Rules

  • Rules:
  • 1.The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in any accredited institution.
  • 2.Participants must compete individually.
  • 3.Teams can register offline before the specified deadline, providing basic information and proof of student status.
  • 4.The competition will consist of a series of coding challenges to be completed within a set time frame, with breaks provided between challenges. Each challenge will focus on different aspects of programming and problem-solving.
  • 5.Teams must submit their code electronically through the competition platform, following specified file naming conventions.
  • 6.Participants whose code gets executed will be given higher preference. The second preference will be given to code with the least number of errors. In case of a tie in the number of errors, time of submission will be considered.
  • 7.Shortlisted participants of Round-1 will appear for Round-2 for which the above rules are applicable.
  • 8.Scores will be based on the correctness, efficiency, and clarity of the code. Bonus points may be awarded for creativity and innovative solutions.
  • 9.Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of dishonesty will result in immediate disqualification.
  • 10.A panel of experienced programmers and accessibility experts will judge the competition anonymously, with tiebreakers resolved by consensus.
  • 11.Prizes will be awarded to the top-performing individuals and teams, including certificates of participation and achievement and possible gifts.
  • 12.Participants are encouraged to provide feedback after the competition to help improve future events and enhance accessibility
